Particularly if you live in Texas, please vote, just for the schadenfreude. Can you even imagine if Texas goes blue. Can you even imagine Ted Cruz losing. I’m getting giddy just thinking about the conservative meltdown. There is literally zero path to the Presidency for Republicans that doesn’t include Texas. If they have to sweat bullets for the next forever thinking that Texas might be a left-leaning state… guys, this just sounds like a fun time.
please make sure that wherever you’re at in life, you don’t treat it like a transitory period. don’t waste your college years wishing to already be graduated & have a job. don’t waste your single years wishing for someone to be in love with. if/when those things come, they will come in due time and they will be good. but there is nothing like looking back and feeling empty because you wasted literal years ignoring what you had because you were hoping for something better. while it’s important to better yourself and reach for your goals, don’t neglect the present because that’s where you are now and it’s your now that determines your future.

I’m not entirely sure what post that was specifically, bc I reblog a lot of queer stuff. if it was specifically about trans people and only trans people, I’m sure I meant it as TERFs. but if it was more of a broad kind of idea that could be applied to other subgroups, then I meant any kind of exclusionist. people that think gay men shouldn’t be allowed in bc they aren’t “oppressed enough” with their male privilege, or people that think ace/aro people aren’t queer, or NB people are just “confused trans/cis people”, that anyone “straight-passing” isn’t queer, etc etc
