Sssh do not disturb
I can’t quite put my finger on it, but this feels vaguely relevant…

Pillowfort.io’s Kickstarter is officially 25% funded! We had a great day yesterday, which actually reversed the trend that Kickstarters usually follow. Most Kickstarters have strong donation rates for their first three days, and then by the fourth day things start to drop off. However, our fourth day of donations was even stronger than our third (we raised $2k on day 4 compared to $1.5k on day 3), and just as strong as our second day, which is very impressive and goes to show how strong word of mouth can be. Thanks so much to all of you who have supported us so far!
Seriously, guys – PF is the best combination of LiveJournal/DW and Tumblr/Twitter that I’ve seen so far. It’s got a good blogging platform with nested comments that allow for an actual conversation, and it’s got the ability to reblog and like other people’s posts as well. There’s the typical mix of authors, artists, and fandom v. non-fandom folks over there, and the only reason it’s not moving faster is because it needs more people. But there is absolutely a fantastic potential to be the next big social media space – ESPECIALLY for those of us who miss LJ and DW and long for the heyday of those platforms.
Want a chance to look? Check out the Kickstarter page; you can log in under a demo account to see what I’m talking about. And then a $5 pledge – the oh-so-popular price of a Starbucks frappuccino – will get you a membership key so you can have your own account.
(Let’s face it – Starbucks doesn’t have any good flavors this summer anyway.)
And actually… I’ll make this sweeter for you:
Don’t have the money to pledge but want an account? Let me know – and I’ll pledge $5 for you.
Have the money, but not sure you want to pledge? Pledge anyway – and I’ll write you a fic or original story to your prompt.
i was sifting thru old doodles and found these ala Savepoint AU
we’re all on here like “heuh huh sans undertale” as if undertale didnt personally take our hand circa 2015 and lead us outta depression fuck our fake asses

The original tweet is in response to a tweet about Ellen Maud who sought out medical help and was routinely told to just lose weight. She later died of cancer.
last night one of my campers was like “well i lost one of my shoes in the swamp today” and i said “oh no!” and she shrugged and said “its ok. shoes are just objects” and damn. they really are
today a completely different camper with scratches all over her legs was like “every step hurts me” and i was like “oh that sucks!” and she shrugged and said “well, you know, pain is a temporary emotion”
the next gen have achieved either peak buddhism or peak nihilism
What is it like in the most barren places in the world post-Transcendence (like Antarctica)? Are they teeming with previously-unknown magical creatures and intense magic-storms and who knows what else, or are they just about the only places on Earth without any magic at all?
All the world has magic. Some rare places are simply more magical than others. Even rarer are those with magic too strong to bear by any living creature. Those who stay too long become unrecognizable and one with the land, or the sea, or the sky.
I was re-reading a few semi-recent posts, and it occurred to me… Given the stereotype of demons liking CONTRACTS, asking one to make you into magical girl is probably a terrible idea even if they don’t screw with it at all, since they might go for one particular version of how magical girls work…
There are, unfortunately, those who do not think their contract through and there are those who take advantage of their contractees.
