AO3 updated their filters and I’m so shook???
I love this so fucking much, you have no idea. Thank you, AO3. This made my day way better, and my life so much easier.

Your irregular reminder that Ao3 is funded entirely by its users. So if you’re happy with the update, and you have some money to spare, please consider donating to the Archive.

@hedwig-dordt Can you tell me where to donate, please? I was unable to find any info on that.

Yes I can! Well – here’s what I got on Ao3 itself:

Donating Your Time
The Organization for Transformative Works is the parent organization of the Archive of Our Own. We are often looking for volunteers to contribute to our projects. If you’re interested in volunteering specifically to help the Archive of Our Own, the roles to look out for include tag wranglers, testers, coders, Support staff and Abuse staff. We encourage you to browse through the available listings and apply for any roles which match your qualifications and interests.

Donating Financially
The AO3 has ongoing running costs – electricity for the servers and bandwidth so you can reach them – and one-off costs such as buying new servers as the number of users and works increases. Any donation to the OTW is a big help. (Don’t worry, we’ll never connect your AO3 username and your financial information.)

Donating to the Organisation for Transformative Works (which is the legal umbrella that Ao3 runs under) can be done through here.

Hank nice normal looking Hank walks into a pawn shop in Portland maybe for a gift, cane or selling something. The owner plays hardball because he thinks this is easy money. Hank leaves having got a great deal because of course he does. Even funnier if someone tells the hapless owner who exactly he just spent the last fifteen minutes haggling with after Hank leaves.

Hank is good at haggling because he’s patient, and neither raises his voice nor loses his temper.

HC: Hank and Willow simultaneously go into an emo phase. Like heavy, edgelord clothes. (Special Five Hours Only! Only $19.99!) Dyed hair. EVERYTHING. Now, Acacia has to hide this from EVERYONE, because if she saves them from getting mockery for this, they’ll help her??? (Bonus points if the two even go by their ‘demon’ names (Gliese and the one I can’t remember for Hank from that one fic)))

Hmmm.

Mod S here! So I don’t really see Hank and Willow going hard core emo/edgelord/scene; even if it was in their personalities, Mabel would (not entirely on purpose) take the piss out of it by wholeheartedly and earnestly joining them in the hair-dying and bedecking of clothes in safety pins and generally making it NOT COOL ANYMORE.

(also, their uncle is a demon. they win at being edge forever)

That being said, if Hank and Willow went emo, Acacia would do the opposite of hiding it. No, she would be two steps behind them the whole time, glaring at every single person who even blinks at them wrong, and wearing a whole bunch of suspiciously heavy metal rings to school all the sudden.

There’s only one person who can make fun of her siblings, and that’s Acacia. Everyone else can put up or shut up.

Wendy visiting Portland and everyone freaking out because this can’t end well. The police and city at large watch with baited breath for the confrontation between Don Pines and the Demon Hunter. Only nothing happens. Well not nothing they met, they have dinner together, they’re photographed hugging but no fight. Certain sections of the city panic at this because even THE WENDY CORDROY won’t mess with Don Pines.

Poor Hank. The amount of attention people pay to him flusters him greatly.

(wendy is amused)

Ray Frenden reviews the too-cheap-to-be-true Monoprice graphics tablets. How do they stack up to industry standard Wacoms?

After spending a week with the 6.25“x10” Monoprice, my Yiynova and Cintiq remain unplugged and I gave my Intuos away to a friend. The Monoprice tracks subtle pressure variances and small movements with less lag and more crisp fidelity than any of the others. It is, put crudely, fucking awesome, in both OSX Lion and Windows 7 x64.

I have one of these, 10×6.5 I bought about two months ago for 48 bucks. It’s a billion times better than my old Wacom Bamboo and works like a fuckin dream.

ATTENTION ALL PENNY-PINCHING ART FRIENDS!!!

ooo reblogging this for potential future purchase

oh

I’m definitely thinking of getting one of these, or asking for one for Christmas. ‘Cause as much as I appreciate Ian giving me his old tablet, I think the pen might be on it’s last legs. ;~;

Oh my god these start at $25 for a little one.

I would be so okay with a little one.

Reblogging this again because I fucking lost it and don’t want to forget it again.

Relevant to some friends’ interests… vaultedthewall , trows

@dream-with-me-always @albino-yaoi

Always do your research before you buy Wacom, the quality of their products has gone way down in the past few years, I haven’t had a single tablet from them that hasn’t broken down with normal use.

I’ve switched to xp-pen now and I love it, I’ll never go back to wacom
