Hey, I was just wondering about where in the timeline do you think “The Rosewood Affair” takes place? I get the vibe that it occurs before Bentley, but I can’t tell where it sits in relation to Toby, Return Rewind Rewrite, or Reincarnation Blues.
per the wonderful @ii-thiscat-ii
“pretty late; like a hundred years past Bentley late…. It’s pretty far in the future. If you count Alvie’s age chronologically he’s probably something like ~1800 years old at this point. Pretty far removed from his original shape.”
How often does Alvie screw with TVs? I mean, there’s bound to be smart televisions that can connect to the Internet, and most game consoles are gonna have accsess some kind of browser. How many times has Alvie changed the channel, or rufused to change it from the Bear-o animated show? How many times has Alvie given bosses so many upgrades they’re invincible, and stolen all they player’s items?
.
More doodles, featuring Alvie being smug just like his dad.
Based off of this fic: https://archiveofourown.org/works/6762907/chapters/15930625 (I think this might’ve actually been the TAU fic I read?)
Did Toby and Maddie ever meet their brother Alvie?
Mod S here! I don’t know, and to be honest I can see this going either way! Toby and Maddie come after Ian and Mira, but I don’t think we have a hard set in stone date for Alvie.Â
TLDR: canon is squishy, and you can have them meet or not meet to your liking
I found out recently that Alvie is a real name meaning wise friend or noble friend. In old english though it can mean elf army. So I have to wonder, what does everyones favorite virus think of this?
Dipper would like you to not give Alvie any ideas about potentially splitting up into a million tiny viruses or something akin to that thank you very much
Heyy, a weekly update! It’s a miracle.
Anyways. Here’s more of The Rosewood Affair. Enjoy.
Alvie only rarely took the bus home from
school these days. Instead, dad met him at the gate with a smile and a wave,
and they walked away together.“How was your day?” Al-V asked, readjusting
his identity now that school was out.“Pretty good, actually.” Dad shrugged. “I
spent a few hours at Cassie’s. I think she’s starting up a study group again.”Al-V snickered at the mention of the now near-mythical,
constantly reincarnating leader of the most laid-back cult to ever grace the
Earth. “About time,” he said. “How long is it now, that she’s been your only
point of contact with humanity?”Dad sent him a dry look and rolled his
eyes. “About three years since we met, but that’s not- it hasn’t been that bad.”Al-V met his expression with a grin.
Dad huffed, but stopped trying to argue. It
had been exactly that bad, and he knew it.
