when mark and anna pines first hear about the transcendence, they drive immediately to gravity falls, they don’t care that there are flaming monsters or ogres or /whatever/ crawling through the roads their /children/ could be in danger and mark pines goes straight up to the mystery shack’s door and stanford answers (like, author of the journal stanford) and (when did he start wearing turtlenecks and cracked glasses) because he doesn’t /know/ what happened with stan and ford but who cares his (1)

his /children/ are in trouble and ford is just standing there until
he’s forced to explain the situation and mark has to deal with the fact
his uncle’s brother is a dimension-traveling six-fingered weirdo and his
son has become a demon AND the whole world has recently been populated
with the supernatural all at once.

A/N: Based on a recent Mod Chat about what demon puberty might, in theory, entail. This hardly covers a fraction of what was discussed, but it was a good way to bring Mark and Anna Pines back – it’s been a while since I wrote them.


It said
a lot about the new state of the world that Mark’s first thought upon seeing
the kitchen table was to google massive supernatural beavers and see if
anything of the sort had come to light recently. It said a lot about Mabel’s life-long
tendency to bring home new pets that he forewent googling in favor of shouting
for her to come downstairs.
