I can’t stop thinking about the idea of Alcor popping up to a summons and aggressively playing Istanbul (the one by They Might Be Giants) on the tuba and when it’s over the cultists are practically deaf and very confused

That particular cult was becoming increasingly annoying. Clingy, almost. Dipper was getting sick and tired of them calling him up at all hours of the day and night and whining about this and that, wanting him to solve every little problem they had. He’s a mighty, fearsome demon, not their exclusive life troubleshooter.

There were other solutions. The simplest would be killing one and putting the fear of him into the others, but for the sake of the shreds of human morality he clung to he discarded that option. They hadn’t actually done anything to deserve that, by his standards. Another might be to simply stop responding altogether…but he didn’t want to deal with the nagging sense of summons after summons in the back of his head, nor the increasing pressure to answer one if they didn’t give up right away.

He could just start jacking up prices, see how willing they were to give up their souls in exchange for solving their petty little problems the ‘easy’ way…but he’d been annoyed by them for weeks now. He wanted satisfaction.

The next time that particular cult called, he was ready, and when all was said and done he blipped away to laugh his head off at the memory of their shocked and confused faces.

And if they called back again too soon…well. He’s a mighty demon. He’s sure he can figure out the bagpipes too, just for them.

Doesn’t Henry have hands on his antlers, which are only visible to people with the Sight? I’m just imagining someone going to the Stanley Pines Library and seeing a librarian with FLOATING HANDS surrounding his head and being really confused.

The hands are also invisible to those without the Sight, so most patrons of the library have no clue that the tall red-haired librarian there is anything other than ordinary.

That said, that is quite the mental image, and a hell of a thing to try to explain away or cover up.

Excuse me, I’m kinda new here and just to know, if I draw something TAU related how do I know that it’ll be shown here?

Not all content submitted to the blog will be posted. We avoid posting a handful of things – such as anything NSFW, AUs/crossovers, or things that go against AU canon.

But beyond that, sometimes things get lost! We also have a fairly decent queue set up so it might be a while before you see your work posted here.

Its 2:12 am and ive got a burning question. why do huamns reincarnate into humans. imagine a Mizar reincarnating in an alien on a distant planet, living under another sun.

Souls do their best to continue down the path of least resistance, to continue doing what it knows. Meaning, they almost always reincarnate into the same species, around other Souls they’re familiar with.

This isn’t a steadfast rule (Mizar is a cat once, Toby is from demon lineage), but it’s extremely rare to see this being deviated from.

One thing that does not happen though, is Souls hopping worlds. They can’t cross dimensions, and they don’t cross an enormous amount of space between viable hosts. This includes mental space – meaning they couldn’t hop between two habitable planets right next to each other, if both worlds aren’t aware of one another. But they could cross the entire galaxy, a hundred thousand light-years wide, if two far-off societies knew of each other’s existence.

So, Souls on earth won’t be able to reincarnate onto other planets, into sentient life, until a decent portion of life on earth knows of another world with similarly sentient life.

How exactly do demon obsessions work? Do they just single-mindedly and actively pursue what they are currently obsessed with or is it more passive? Does a demon need to have an obsession to exist?

Demons do not NEED an obsession to exist, but every demon does have at least one fixation. It doesn’t necessarily control them, it’s more just that’s their favorite flavor to eat!

So it’s more of a passive thing, driving them but (usually) not controlling them. If their favorite food is childhood memories, they’ll always be trying to make deals and stalk people who have really strong, cherished childhood memories. But if they can’t get their hands on that, they won’t say no to other delicious things, like eyeballs or the ability to snap your fingers.

Each demon is different though, and there are some whose obsession is so strongly sought after it can become a detriment. Some demons outright refuse to participate in any deal that doesn’t entail their favorite fixations.

No demon would refuse a soul, however. That’s the only constant among them.
