What if after alcor got popular, someone started making a candy with a star/alcor’s object form shape and called it “twin star” and some cults started to use only that as an offering

There are already star themed or shaped or named candies out there in the world – just, imagine a practice or trend in general where summoners try to use these as their offerings to Alcor in hopes that it might garner extra favor.

He’d probably want to encourage said trend as much as possible. It’s definitely a far better one than the whole human sacrifice thing.

Um, this is embarrassing, but who is Gliese? I’ve seen the name in a few fics and I have no idea who they’re talking about.

Gliese is what happens when the Twin Souls fandom somehow finds out about an association between Alcor and a small, red-haired child who wields blue fire and starts speculating real-life “headcanons” about said child’s identity and relation to the demon and eventually, generally comes to the conclusion that it must be the offspring of Alcor and Mizar, and that said child may be a shapechanger to boot since there are slightly differing descriptions by witnesses of said child, though all involved red hair.

Basically some people who didn’t know better occasionally saw Willow with her uncle, and some others might’ve seen Acacia or Hank a time or two instead, and everything got mashed together in a kind of combination urban legend and fandom’s headcanon, and Gliese is just the fan-made name that rose to greatest prominence and popularity, since nobody knew otherwise.

Hi I’m new to the Discord server but I noticed AvesPecora was listed as a mod but they’re not on the list of mods on tis blog? I take it they’e only A mod for the server? (Sorry I’m shy I didn’t want to ask in teh channel but I’m confused)

AvesPecora is a mod for the server and the tau tumblr!! Mod P, I believe (Mod K here). I’m sorry about the confusion regarding that! We just have been really bad about editing the site, and Mod P is also a Very Busy Art Student Who Works Way Too Hard And Needs At Least Two Weeks Of Vacation Where She Does Nothing But Rest, in Mod K’s professional opinion.

I hope this helps! Hopefully we’ll have AvesPecora’s Modhood officially up on the blog’s FAQs page before the end of the year 😉

In God Alcor’s recreated universe, does the history kind of follow the history of the previous universe, or are things completely different?

Completely different, at least in theory and intent. We kept humankind and most animals and mythical beings the same because coming up with a whole other divergent evolution is a little overwhelming, though there’s always room there for leeway if you really want to add some heffelumps and woozles as common beasties. Otherwise, though, it’s a different world history and set of cultures, with different continents and countries and languages and religions and everything, though humans being humans, some tendencies will still shine through as points of familiarity. In whatever languages they’re using, they probably call their planet “the world” or some variant of it, so if you write a story and they call their home ‘Earth’ it’s no biggie; just skin it as a translation of sorts to English.

So, yeah, feel free to borrow ideas and concepts from the previous universe so we’re not just drifting lost in a totally alien space, but keep in mind that there’s specifically no USA, no Oregon, no Gravity Falls waiting for twins to come and foil a demon’s plot and whatnot.

After all, where’s the fun in an ever-repeating, inescapable time loop of events? It seems like a terrible fate to trap a universe in.

HC: Alcor can give a Mizar almost anything without a deal because he already owns her soul, which is the highest price you can pay for anything. (She’s kind of constantly paying)

Not quite how that one works, unfortunately. The soul was a single-transaction payment, and now the title and deed (so to speak) are in Alcor’s name. Since he already owns this thing – no matter how precious it is – it can’t be used to pay him for other things in the future.

As the centuries pass, Alcor comes to manage ‘discounts’ and even the occasional very small ‘freebie’ at will for Mizars (and other reincarnations and close friends he makes along the way) not because of soul ownership or massive past deals, but because of the growth of his power. If something takes him less relative effort to achieve, he can afford to go cheaper on it.
