Here you go! The button pic is a little low quality because it’s a screenshot of a video of the stand I took. I saw it on the last day of the fair and was kind of panicking as far as if I should get pictures of the stand and stuff so I kinda just went secret-agenty and subtly filmed any fanart I saw
Hey everyone! Warning for all artists – this shop spotted at a recent convention is selling LOTS of stolen artwork!
Their FB page is currently down, but there’s the perp’s name and phone number. Anyone who has any photos or videos of their booth, please share and signal boost!
*irohath had sold his traced artworks as commissions and various merchandises at local events in Indonesia. This is disrespectful for both the original artists and clients or customers who’ve spent money to buy his artworks.
*Pictures on the right side are Tizar / irohath’s.
* Please refrain from bullying the artist (irohath).
* irohath did not credit the original artists in the artworks he traced nor the aforementioned stolen concept artworks (or heavily referenced, you name it).
* This post acts as a warning. An artist should have known the consequences of tracing another artist’s work, especially when they decide to commercialize it.
Well guys, i tried to get it through their head but they’re just being an ignorant fuck.
Hey guys @luciferwolf221 has been reposting a lot of art without credit or permission and this is very harmful to artists so if you’re an artist you may want to check to see if they stole any of your art too!
I HAVE NOT STOLEN ANYONES ART!
Hey hon, saw your ask box is still closed, so I will let you know here I’m going to wait one more day for you to delete the posts with my art in it. If you don’t, I will have to file a formal DMCA takedown notice, which can get you in a heap of trouble – and quite possibly result in the termination of your account.
I really don’t want to see that happen, seeing as you simply did not know that reposting art was a crime. However, seeing stuff like the screenshots in this post tells me that you might not care about hurting artists. We are people too, and what you’re doing is no better than bullying.
Perhaps think about how it would feel if someone posted your artwork on the web? What if that person suddenly got a lot of attention and praise for the hard work YOU did? For artists, we often rely on that popularity as a form of advertisement, which is directly linked to how much money we make. For a lot of us, this is our living, which allows us to buy food, clothes, and a roof over our heads.
There is no need to make this a huge deal, this is simply something you were not aware of before. I for one would not hold it against you if you simply learned from this and did the right thing.
