(Mod Z) Reincarnation is canon in this AU! “Souls” can never truly disappear, and while certain things can prolong their rebirth, they always exist in the reincarnation cycle.

(Mod C) Dipper typically finds Mabel’s reincarnations because he owns her soul, and the strength of the bond that comes from that ownership, in addition to their preexisting bond as siblings.

This mod remembers quite a few different headcanons about this, but the general consensus seems to be that his ability to detect Mabel’s soul directly from the reincarnation’s birth might fade as time passes, much like how his ties to her descendents diminishes as the bloodline thins out (at inverse proportion to the power he gains from so many descendents of the original soul owner). but his ability to recognize that reincarnation if/when he encounters them probably diminishes (if it diminishes at all) at a much slower rate.
