A demon historian or someone does a summon for information, and the question “how old is the demon Alcor” is asked. The answer is given as a time from when Dipper and his new powers were fully combined and he’d thought of the name, or Dipper’s age, so suddenly all the demonologists on the internet are collectively hiding under the table because /holy shit he’s only 3/15 years old and he’s already a reality warping powerhouse we thought he was over 4000 we’re fucked/

yEAH ABSOLUTELY like the only reason that the suddenness alone of alcor’s appearance doesn’t immediately scare the shit out of everyone (from a human perspective at least) is because before the transcendence, demons weren’t really a thing to humans outside of myths and legends (ie confined to the dreamscape and the scant few that might have interacted with them over the course of history up till then). so, the logical assumption would be that a demon that scary and powerful must be really really old.

what would also be interesting is what would prompt the demonologists to seek this information in the first place… maybe one way this could happen is they catch wind from another demon that alcor is ‘just a baby’ by comparison…
