The first game to be put together by us here at Ace of Spades Studios is a fangame for the lovely @transcendence-au! And by us, I mean me. And by me, I mean @thesleepiestsheepy (why it won’t let me mention myself I have NO idea).
At the moment the plan is for me to do all the art, coding, music, and so on for this little fangame. I have all of the routes plotted out and all–bad ends included–so I’ve just gotta give it the good ol’ college try!
After this, I plan to simultaneously work on a pixel-art game I’ve been developing for quite some time called Penance in Perdition and a visual novel dating sim called Bloodstone and Cemeteries. I’ll decide on which one to focus on later in development based on which one hits development hell first. I’m guessing it depends on my interests at the time. I’m not really sure.
Anyway, I’d like to expand the studio a bit (mainly cause I don’t think I can do all this on my own) so if you have any sort of art or music skills, hit me up! (Especially detailed CG backgrounds and animation.)
(If you have coding skills hit me up as well. I may have most of that covered but that doesn’t mean I can’t use a little bit of help now and then. Especially with UI design. …I’m having some trouble grasping Python at the moment…)
I’ve been planning to make a couple of games for a while now so I made a game dev blog. Starting with Mizar to Youkai Gakkou, I’ll be moving on to an original VN about dating strange non-humans and/or an original RPG puzzle game about the lost sixth demon lord of Perdition. While right now it’s just me, I plan on expanding the studio, although I don’t know if I’ll figure out how to monetize at first (oh god if I were to monetize anything here…the PR I’d have to do and I don’t really do PEOPLE, let alone PR!) but it’s a learning process.
I’d really appreciate it if y’all would boost this and/or hmu if you’re interested in helping me with the current project. I really mostly need a BG artist and maybe some help with music but if not then you’re okay. Also someone who could maybe help with designing a better and more customized UI for Mizar to Youkai Gakkou that would be gr9.

so, the other day, i got really bored, and decided to open up rpgmaker and make a little game in my spare time. and since i reallylike the @transcendence-au i figured, why not make a lil thing for it?
so now i’m in too deep in a side project that doesn’t even have an actual plot, but it’s generally looking good?? and i kinda don’t want to stop, aha;;;; whoops—

My current sprite artist is @ahaesther and I have someone who has offered to be BG artist if the game is ever finished (which I’m hoping it will be because this is easier than an RPG Maker game by FAR for some odd reason…) If you’re interested in making art for the game I could always use some bonus art so feel free to contact me at clockwork_singer@aol.com or by sending me a submission through my main blog (this one).
“Mizar to Youkai Gakkou” is the romaji (or romanized) version of ミザールと妖怪学校 which was the original name of the game. It translates out to “Mizar and the Monster Academy” (aesthetically speaking).
The (new) full title is actually: ミザールと妖怪学校：双子の魂 or “Mizar to Youkai Gakkou: Futago no Tamashii” (Mizar and the Monster Academy: Twin Souls) but Mizar to Youkai Gakkou is easier to do.
The joke is that I’m pretending to be a translator for a licensed Twin Souls based anime dating sim made by “山田花子” (Yamada Hanako) which is a female placeholder name. As most weebs (or for that matter, translators) tend to use the romaji title of the games/anime/manga, I felt it only fitting.
As for what Mizar to Youkai Gakkou is about?
“Hoshine Mizar is an average girl living an average life with her mother; but it all changed with one simple letter. Now she is the only human student in an all-monster high school and she must keep her identity a secret while trying to finish her education. That’s hard to do when you’ve fallen in love though.
“First there’s Kouri Taiheiyou, her prissy yuki-onna roommate who treats her like dirt but may also be hiding something from everyone. Then there’s Akumu Alcor, the school demon heartthrob, who’s mysteriously obsessed with keeping her healthy. There’s Shika Sarva, a shy young forest spirit who offers to tutor her and there’s Yochi Micheal, a suave vampire who may or may not be stalking her? Finally there’s Futago Chuujitsu and Futago Kime, twins who could not be more different.
“How can she expect to graduate when her heart is taken? And what, exactly, is a Twin Soul?”

I’m looking for two different artists (as I think the workload would be too much for one person) who can help me with Mizar to Youkai Gakkou art. One person would do backgrounds and one person would do the character sprites. I can do icons and chibis and all that but my fullbody digital art depresses me really badly so…
Um…also I’m not getting any money from this so I’d need someone willing to do art for free. I can’t commission anyone right now…not for this amount of art.
