Mary was the youngest of three but that never stopped her from getting into trouble. She was quick to anger and even quicker to get revenge and boy could she hit hard. The sad thing is that it was a learned behavior and she learned it from her older brother Hansel.
Not to say that Hansel was truly, one hundred percent to blame, but it was mostly his fault. The rest of the fault laid on Gretyl.
Gretyl, for lack of a better word, babied her brother. Hansel wasn’t all there the whole time. He was developmentally delayed and acted and thought like a child, despite being well into his lower-twenties. Gretyl acted as a foil for his behavior, being his guide and his voice of reason. Unfortunately this led to her treating him as one would a small child and she never really got past that stage. That meant that when Mary acted out as well, the only one she got scolded by were her Ma and Vati. Since Gretyl did most of the babysitting–as she already took care of Hansel–that meant hat she got away with a lot.
That landed her in detention on this very day, right next to the kid she punched out.

Everything She Ever Wanted
Not really a ficathon prompt but happy anniversary anyways @transcendence-au! It’s kinda some background on my fic Happily-Ever-After.
When she was eleven, Grenda found out she had ovarian cysts. It was harsh news and it hit hard but at least she was notified early on. She cried for hours.
Happily-Ever-After
This is my contribution to the TAU Anniversary Ficathon! I picked a prompt on what Grenda and Marius were doing after the Transcendence and expounded on that. Now, while it’s not much of a fanfiction and more of a world-building thing, I think I did the characters justice, yanno?
Anyway, I hope y’all enjoy.
Grenda’s wedding
was everything she had ever dreamed about as a young girl: a lavish reception,
a gorgeous gown, all her friends and family were there, and she had a
soon-to-be-husband who loved her with all his heart. She was ecstatic. She was
terrified. She was in love.
