In the back of your mind, there is something burning

The first death after re-entering the reincarnation cycle, was the quietest. Bill’s soul plotted, schemed, waited for his turn in the moments between life and death. He forgot that it was Ian’s soul now too. When Bill thought of chaos, Ian thought of waking up in the morning, Mira by his side. When Bill thought of how he would once again dominate the universe, Ian thought of his fans, his children, the taste and smell of whatever he loved the most, and it infuriated Bill. Bill and Ian were the same, and at the same time, very, very different. The pattern continued with every birth and death, mixing and tangling until the soul couldn’t tell which was which without effort.

Toby had burn scars, years of self loathing and painful shyness, and in the end had a father, sister, friends and children to come home to. He had his last moments as he died, far too young compared to the last two incarnations.

Chrysanthemum remembered a living stage, two truths and a lie. Her resourcefulness got her roller blades, and many, many things later on in life. Her sister was an actress, and Chrys didn’t mind playing her part.

Pi knew of a sister, and a demon who had once refused a deal. Sister and demon mixed well together, and Pi knew to stay out of the demon’s way. It’s sister and it were what’s left of a ruined cult, but it didn’t matter to them. They had their own lives now, and that was that.

Jude escaped from a place she hated the most. Full of spitfire, she took the hand of a demon and vanished into air. She left behind a crudely drawn summoning circle, and two parents who didn’t deserve her.

A corrupted politician, a girl who died at the hands of a cult. Thousand and thousands of memories drowned Bill, piling up and pulling him under. Love, loss, hate, fear, joy, pain, sorrow all filled the soul, and Bill was alone and had far too much unwanted company. He couldn’t get rid of them though. You can’t escape yourself.

The Egyptians said you could take your most precious things with you to the afterlife. Bill wished memories were less precious once you were dead.

(I hope I got the character memories and how I sorta portrayed them correct. If I didn’t, I sincerely apologize to the original creators, I love you guys and the AU!)

Antlers , Wings and Bill

Now , it’s been established that demonic power leaves some marks on a soul / soul traits , such as  weird shadows and    wings / horns . The question is : what about bill ?

My theory :

Bill is more subtle.  As in :  all birthmarks somehow  form triangles . ( all of my  siblings have    birthmarks  forming triangles , so it’s not that uncommon )  and  instead of   being all seing they just  see really well ( if they don’t lose an eye )  so   they never use glasses .  Also : instead of a shadow his reincarnations have dreams becaus ehe used to be a dream demon . So his shadow falls on their mindscape  .  This doesn’t happen with dippers powers because he is more phisical

Bill’s reincarnations do typically have something a little ‘off’ about them and their aura. Ian’s aura was mentioned as being strange, though it turned into something more normal after that. Toby’s aura has never been mentioned as anything unusual. Chrys does definitely have that off aura, and Jude is mentioned as being obviously a bearer of Bill’s soul, and the discomfiting aura could be an indication of that if we assume it’s a regular thing and the way Alcor comes to recognize that soul.

Unfortunately, birthmarks and eyesight (and the Sight) and actual shadows are all things tied to the physical body that soul happens to inhabit, so it’s pretty much pure chance if these things crop up. The soul itself doesn’t have any influence on pure genetics or external factors like birthmark formation or the way light travels.

If an R!Bill were to have something else extra, a remnant of Bill’s power (big if here), Mod M sees it coming in the form of heightened perception and improved processing speed. A literal interpretation, if you will, of ‘always watching,’ of constantly thinking two steps ahead. As this would all be entirely mental, it would also quite easily disguise itself as being human in origin and nothing seemingly out of the ordinary. R!Bills also have a tendency towards Borrowing (for all you Discworld fans out there) which leads to some great times with Dipper

KARMA

When Alcor feels the pull of a summoning for the first time in weeks, it’s hilariously weak. No candles, no sacrifice, a circle that’s more of a scribble, and some painfully mangled Latin combine to make a call that almost slips by him and he’s extremely reluctant to answer. Not because he thinks he won’t get much out of it— though he’s sure that’s the case— more for the affront of it. This person tries to summon Alcor the Dreambender and can’t even put in the effort to light some tea candles or something? Yet expects it to work?

He can feel the will of the summoner though, and that, that is surprisingly strong. It almost makes up for the rest of the horrible summon. Almost.

On any other day he’d ignore it, but he’s been going through a dry spell lately in terms of people summoning him, and that’s left him hopelessly, intolerably bored. If anything, he can pop in to see whoever was incompetent enough to use Alcor me te phonem as the first words in their incantation and por favorus as their last, and laugh, flagrantly and unapologetically, in their face.
