Nope. Mark and Anna would never think of trying to ‘replace’ Dipper; he’s still there, he’s still their son. They may not be handling Dipper’s transformation very well, the kids may have to live with Stan, but there has never been any doubt in either Dipper or Mabel’s minds that their parents love them.
Trying to ‘replace’ Dipper would be unspeakably cruel, and Mark and Anna for all their faults would never do that.

My TAU secret santa gift for @bisexualnerd with the prompt of Dipper and Mabel’s parent’s post-Transcendence.
I went with an oddly vague thing but, BUT! I played all the backing tracks on my flute. That’s right, Sandr plays the flute! I haven’t touched the thing in five years when out of nowhere the urge to play my flute for this song hits and I just NEED to do it. So I do.
(I was going to sing it but my singing is shitt and I feel better using vocal synths cause I have the ability to pick from various voice types and feels. Plus Sweet ANN is my voice of choice. [She’s right in my range.])
It’s a bit simple but I wanted the lyrics and the feel of the music to carry more than the backing track.

as I was slowly typing away at a new fic at 12am I had a HC I wanted to share
I really like the idea that Henry gets along with the Pines Parents well. (Ahhh I wanna see em interact more….) I feel like they would get along because not only did he accept Mabel’s antics and not try and change her, he’s also able to support Dipper where they weren’t quite strong enough to. I imagine Henry really likes them as well because they treat him like a non-outcast son and he’s able to feel some of that parental love and support that just wasn’t really there with Rita and Arnold. Mark and Henry can even talk a bit about how technology is changing the way information/libraries work and Henry can recommend the best books to Anna. When they’re alone together I think it would be a very calm, cozy, comfortable silence, afternoon tea-time feeling.

The triplets have a birthday party and both sides of the family are there for the first and last time, there’s cake and some punch but it aint the kind you drink 😉

That, or they ask him why so many supernatural folk are nervous around them, often with the mention of “marks” that Dipper put for protection at some point.
I just really want to see some Memory Lane moments with the parents!
