The Incident with Mrs. Peterson, please!

This one changed a lot from conception to execution. I had planned, initially, for Belle and two friends (who ended up only making a cameo at the party) to basically have to storm the Church of New Canaan after one of Dipper’s teachers figured out that something was not right about that Sterling boy and tried to have him exorcised, but that was way too similar to something seiya234 had written, so I decided to change it up. Having Onika come with (honestly, having her exist in the first place) was a surprise, but a pleasant one.

The glitter bomb spell, which was the product of a stroke of inspiration when I was trying to think of what sort of spellwork a reincarnation of Mabel might gravitate towards, and then presented itself as an elegant solution later when I was trying to figure out how she could do destructive magic if her primary forte was decorative and illusory magic, also initially came earlier, when they needed to break out of the stairwell; luckily, I realised that it was too good to waste on that and needed to be saved for the end.

Her father didn’t so much as bat an eyelash.
