So I don’t really see the kids being sent off (though I do love this idea-it’d drive Hank nuts!) for an extended period of time.

Partially because Mabel and Henry and Dipper (and Stan) would miss them terribly. But mostly because Mabel is worried something bad would happen to the triplets and they wouldn’t know until it was almost too late. The kids have gotten into trouble as it is in Gravity Falls a time or two, let alone say out in the boonies or with Mabel and Dipper’s parents in Piedmont.

(Mabel was worried about potentially being over-protective, but then her youngest daughter was kidnapped and almost drowned by a crazy church, so perhaps not.)

Valentine’s line-up!

Henry and Mabel –– Dance

This was fun to draw. I love drawing Henry’s hair. I’m really happy with how this turned out, and I think it’s my favorite of the four.
I keep forgetting that Henry isn’t actually canon. Ugh.

Acacia and Reina –– First Meet

I know this isn’t the “canon” way of how they met. But I imagine this is would be like their first time seeing each other in the halls and simultaneously thinking “Oh, wow, she’s cute.”
Alcor’s symbol is on Acacia’s bag.

Hank and Vivi –– Together

I tried several poses for them and this was by far the most frustrating of the four. Hank’s face is awkward. I was gonna draw something on Vivi’s shirt, but I was rushing to get this done in time for Valentine’s Day. So…not as good as I hoped, but whatever.

Dipper and Willow –– the Asexuals

Dipper and Willow felt left out so I sketched one for the two of them. Two nerds looking at an ancient nerdy journal together.

I focused more on Willow for this one, which is why Dipper looks kinda weird. Also, that’s just an awkward pose.
Again, I didn’t draw a design on Willow’s sweater, cuz I was rushing to get it done in time.

I read a fic where after Mabes dies Dip’s in such a state of grief he doesn’t move from her for several years. (He does snap out of it when her soul comes back) Imagine niblings w/family visiting her grave and seeing dip ‘guarding’ her even in death

But also, it’s the longest they’ve gone without Dip so it feels like they’ve lost their mum/gran and their uncle/grunkle. Nobody can summon
him away and they don’t even get the answer machine (for about 7 years)

When the triplets are really little and they don’t quite get the difference between them and ‘little dipper’ yet, they try to do things like fly because dipper will lift them up and float them wherever they want and don’t understand that they can’t just automatically heal from every injury because dipper does it for himself and for them any time they get hurt- and then they go to school for the first time mABEL GETS A KIND OF ALARMED PHONE CALL

With the demon prodding around gravity falls, imagine it taking the risk to invade the territory and getting up close to the triplets and next thing you know dippers there in his full demotic glory bringing hell down on the other, banishing them but at the cost of the kids seeing ALL of it including his booming voice, fire, sadistic laughter and tearing in and out of the realms and shredding everything in their path. Imagine their terror, especially if they were younger

(This post is referring to an ask about the consequences of another demon hanging around Gravity Falls!)

This AU owns my soul. Just this night I had a dream about Malala surrounded by a swarm of tiny demons (like, the size of a kitten) for some reason, and Dipper zapping them away and giving a lecture on different types of demons. I mean, wtf???

Also, headcanons (which may be confused with something I’ve read – I’m losing track of my own ideas and someone else’s posts. Sorry about that):

1. On summoning and binding circles: Why are you so perfect? I was thinking the exact same thing! I bet that Dipper’s family and friends use only the summoning circles without the binding part. Also I can imagine Cassie using the proper circles at first, but later she is using less and less protections, until finally she forgoes them completely. Dipper gets upset at it and gives her a lecture about how he is a terrible demon and could easily kill her and “really, Cassie, what were you thinking?!” And she just shoves the ice cream at him, like, “Yeah, yeah, heard this already, are we making a deal or what?”

OR maybe it was the other way around??? Maybe she didn’t even know about the necessary protections, so she didn’t use them at first, and only later, after at least several deals she began to study demonology, and found out how horribly wrong everything could have gone.

2. On the subject of deals. I get that for each deal there’s a lowest price that has to be paid. Dipper simply can’t take less, no matter how much he would want to. So what does that price depend on? My guess is, it depends on how hard it is for Dipper to uphold his end of the deal and how much energy he has to spend. Which means that as he becomes more powerful, he actually needs less payment. Of course, nothing prevents him from totally ripping off his summoners and taking more than necessary.

3. You said that Dipper doesn’t like entering other’s dreams, only Mabel’s because she will always accept him. What about her kids? I bet the triplets found out he could create anything in the dreamscape, and kept pestering him, until he agreed to their demands. After that he sometimes creates dreams for them, probably recreating some real but dangerous places he had been to. Like, did you know that underwater rivers exist? It’s certainly not something you can take a bunch of kids to, but I bet it’s awesome (the photos look really trippy, you can google them). Maybe Dipper spends some of his time just wandering the Earth and checking out some of the really awesome places. I know, if I could teleport, I totally would!
