For that new Alcor cult idea that are determined to wiping out human/child trafficking and cleansing out those cults of other demons and Alcor’s who sacrifices children or do things that would displease Alcor from one of those HC. The cult is named The Children of Alcor and while their intentions are for their lord’s best interest, they are still a cult fanatically devoted to Alcor, especially their leader with questionable methods.
You know in the Transdimensional Arc, Alcor’s teasing and mocking of Dipper ironically makes Dipper think the demon is treating him like a kid, or worse, hates him because he reminds the demon of how much he was a nerd. Alcor would know how it feels to be treated like a kid (which he is unintentionally doing) and that he’s still a nerd and Dipper just reminds how much he has loss.
They go at each other from cross-purposes and there’s a general lack of mutual understanding for so many reasons.
Dipper doesn’t know what it’s like to be made a Demon, to be torn between the instincts that come with it and the lingering empathy for mortals that came from his human self. He’s never outlived almost everything he loves time and again.
Alcor has, perhaps, forgotten what it’s like to be a twelve-year-old human wanting to prove oneself and be accepted – it has been a very, very long time, and even he forgets things. He’s gotten used to the ‘ageless demon’ schtick. Appellations like “kid” come naturally, thoughtlessly to his tongue.
Both of them know they’re smart – maybe even the smartest guys in the room, sometimes. Dipper wants to prove it. Alcor wants to flaunt it. That’s also likely to cause clashes.
The moral of the story: any variant of time travel where an older version of you meets a younger is going to be weird and possibly a lot more antagonistic than you might first expect.
Nobody’s talked about the Drift AU in awhile, and I miss it a lot. Any particular reason?
We talk about what is sent to us, generally (though sometimes things get buried when we don’t have a response in mind yet and put it off waiting for a flash of inspiration to strike…). For a while recently, it was panic over the idea of Al-V dying. A little more recently we saw a bit of Gompers, as well as some Transdimensional Arc AU.
So if you’d like to talk about Drift AU, bring a thought about it up in an ask and see if that gets the ball rolling. Topics on this blog are as much up to you guys as they are up to the mods – we regulate and respond, and you generate the content in the first place. 🙂
Would the name Mason also work as Dipper’s true name?
It probably worked back before he took on the name Dipper and got attached enough to it that he began to introduce himself by it instead, but as of the time of the show and AU? Nope, no dice.
Can there be a clarification on the Vivienne’s bachelorette Fic Prompt? I have no idea what they are asking for.
Probably a great deal of chaos and disorder and things getting wildly, comedically out of hand despite everybody’s best efforts. That seems to happen a lot around here.

Gompers had Mabel juice once. Absolutely nothing happened. No reaction. Not even a twitch. He just crunched up the plastic dinosaurs and then went back to grazing. None of the kids (who naturally gave him the juice, just to see) could figure out how.
Can demons posses inanimate objects aside from sock puppets? I just imagine Alcor possessing one of Mabel’s stuffed toys just to be a troll.
We’re pretty sure he wound up possessing Bear-O once, so stuffed toys is completely an option. Whether this method of trolling would actually work on Mabel or whether it would backfire completely is up in the air, though.

Sure! The symbol of Alcor (and most of the Pines family in general) is specifically Mod Z’s work, so we do bar that from being put on, say, a print-on-demand site and sold, but you can sell commissions or your own designs based on this AU.
Adding to the new Bill Transdimentional Arc AU fic prompt. This Bill turns out to actually become (somehow) not so much friends, but aquaintences at least to the point where they got along enough to pull pranks on each other and not want to try to kill each other every five nanoseconds.
It’s the weirdest, most nervewracking thing ever. Dipper was more or less used to the whole Bill-reincarnated-as-a-human thing, even if there was the occasional day of doubt when he waited on tenterhooks, wondering if or when the demon might resurface in Toby as he did in Ian. But a nicer alternate dimension Bill?
What the heck?
The worst part about it in many ways is that Bill, unlike Toby, can feasibly follow him anywhere, even into the Mindscape.
