Prompt I want to see the dreams that are under alcor’ s care change the angels’ opinion on him by staying by his side even if they have to die in his place.

Er, I’m sorry, but angels wouldn’t come to like any demon because of something like that!

Angels are just as selfish as demons, using humans to gain power. They don’t like humans, though they don’t really hate them either – they’re usually seen as inferior lifeforms to be exploited.

The only reason angels have a better reputation is thanks to previous mythology (false stories about how they’re gentle and loving), and the fact that their exploitation methods are generally not as brutal to humans as demon methods. Angels tend to try and sell themselves as benevolent creatures in order to gain more worship (how they gain power), which can lead to messy brainwashing and emotional/mental abuse… but that’s way less conspicuous than the demon who straight up rips people apart and eats their souls.

So angels aren’t morally superior, thus they wouldn’t care if Alcor homed dreams instead of nightmares. They’d probably react the same as other demons honestly – they’d think he’s weird and dangerous.

And let’s not forget that angels and demons are enemies! They fight over the same “food source” (humans), so they’re at odds with each other. The faith and positivity angels can instill in humans as a by-product of their worship mongering is toxic to demons; likewise, demons encourage and feed off of negative emotions that make things like faith/worship hard to do.

(Sorry, I don’t mean to shoot down your prompt, just wanted to clear up the misunderstanding!)

So what’s the relation between Alcor and the Time Police? Do they keep an eye on him since he’s a being that rivals and will surpass that of Time Baby? Pretty sure it’s civil, but not exactly friendly for both parties.

You’ve pretty much got it: civil, though not particularly friendly. Time Baby was never keen on Bill, and Alcor inherited Bill’s powers, making him a wild card. Alcor met Time Baby at least once as Dipper, with a possibility of other encounters as Alcor.

For the most part there’s an understanding of sorts. Time Baby’s government doesn’t mess with Alcor. Alcor doesn’t mess with Time Baby’s government. They each stick to their own things as much as possible.

Of course, if you take the fic Llolphy and run with it, then that’s one member of the Time Police who Alcor is on good terms with, and there may be other individual exceptions to this rule.

Hey do you think you guys could do like an ask thing with the doodles that a lot of art blogs do? Face it, this fandom needs more art.

Well, we’d love to – and maybe some of the mods are up to it! But not all of us draw, and I know most of us are very very busy!

So if you’d like to see an ask blog with art, feel free to make one yourself! If one of the mods gets the itch to respond to something with art, they most certainly will. But the reason that doesn’t happen is really mostly because we’re bogged down with school and jobs, and art takes lots of time and energy.

(this is Mod Z btw, and I’m speaking from experience – I used to run a little Pokemon ask blog for about a year. I was lazy compared to most blogs out there, and it was still hard work!)

How did the transcendence actually spread across the globe? Was it a situation where the creatures and forces were already there and people were just alerted to it, or were some folks/animals actively turned into magic folk? For example, were the centaurs already there, or did some humans or horses (or both) get transformed?

It’s actually a constant point of debate just how many (if any) mythical creatures existed in the real world before the Transcendence!

Before, they resided entirely in the dreamscape – linked to the collective conscious mind. They only existed as mere concepts, at their base created by humanity.

Before the Transcendence, they existed in the dreamscape in a very vague sense. It wasn’t like they had an active, functioning world in there – it was like they were in stasis, pre-programmed with things like history and social dynamics. Very few entities (demons being one of them, ghosts and the like being another) had a more solid existence to begin with inside the dreamscape.

So when part of the dreamscape melded with the real world, many of these entities just sort of… poofed into existence. Thankfully, reality did its best to welcome this change and accommodate the new residents in a natural way. Mermaid appeared in the ocean, centaurs in their forests, etc. Kinda like they were always there.

But no, no existing human or animal “became” something mythical. All preternatural beings that arrived due to the Transcendence specifically are additions.

Is Alacor able to travel through Aus? If so, does he like to mess with everyone by pulling mini pranks? Like out of no where, a laser pointer interrupts Stanfur of Monster Falls reading. Alacor is laughing his ass off.

We don’t tend to have a lot of dimensional travel, as it damages the fabric of space-time too much. The Transdimensional Arc is, to date, the only canon example of this kind of crossing in this AU (as far as Mod O remembers at least), and it was a special case where Alcor decided that the risks of not getting involved were greater than the risks of the aforementioned damage done.

HC: while on yggdrasil, dipper seems to speak with Gompers, or rather, he sits there for an hour silently staring at Gompers while bleating periodically. (Afterwards he can remember swirling colours and shapes and so many things he doesn’t understand and he thinks he saw some kind of universal space-time fabric and he kind of remembers half-imprints of himself talking to Gompers and Gompers talking to him.) Later, he just sits down and goes “what.”

Even he’s not sure if it actually happened or if he just thought it did because, you know, yggdrasil.

Hi, this is the anon asking about the summoning circle on redbubble again. I guess was just wondering if the person selling the shirt was allowed to? Or if you guys knew the design was being sold? Sorry about bothering you with this if you already knew about it, but there’s been a lot of art theft lately in some of the fandoms I’m in and I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t happening here.

Hi there, this is Mod Z! Thank you for notifying us, it’s greatly appreciated.

Mod O sent me the link, and that is indeed not my account. I already have the summoning circle up for sale in two colors, so please, I would greatly appreciate it if fans could refrain from selling designs I’ve specifically made! If there’s something you’d like to see on Redbubble, I always consider requests.

It’s really easy to forget in a group that’s bigger than a lot of fandoms now, but behind a lot of designs are individuals, not big corporations. So please think before you do something like that!
