We put this to the masses: anyone got an itch to write this?

For some reason I just can’t help but imagine Torako buying Bentley a Ruff Boi shirt
Torako buys (or makes) him lots of things like that. She’ll see some graphic tee in a store and get a big grin as she imagines Bentley – or Dipper – wearing it, or at least the looks on their faces when she presents it to them. It brings her joy.
Has Alcor ever adopted a reincarnation of someone who wasn’t one of his original inner circle but was tangentially connected to them (like the triplets’ spouses or Pacifica’s son)? Or are you automatically on his watch list if you were part of the lives of his family in your first life/previous life?
He might try to keep a watch list at first, though the rate of growth means that he quickly starts to prioritize a chosen few rather than keep track of every single connection he ever had. His knowledge and power are vast, but even he has some limits.
So occasionally, centuries down the road, he may come across some stranger with a vaguely familiar soul, and that niggles at him. He knows it’s not Mizar, or Sarva, or his Niblets. Not Pacifica or either of the Stans…
It’ll drive him up a wall until he finally realizes that, oh, this was the soul of Soos and Melody’s fourth child, or one of Willow’s Pleiades, or another resident of Gravity Falls when he first arrived there, practically forgotten until now.
They’re out there. Occasionally they come back into Alcor’s life, even if only for a moment or two.
Do you think for those orphans Alcor saved from cult sacrifices will have an unhealthy obsession and dependence on him due to the trauma and loss they’ve suffered they would do anything for him whether he approves it or not?
Mod O can see a few of them going that far – not all, and maybe not even very often, but it’s a definite possibility. It’ll depend on the individual child, and a bit on how Dipper himself handles the situation as well as other external factors.
Are there occasions where Alcor outsmarts demons, humans and other beings through planning and manipulations?
Oh, sure! Just as there can be occasions where he is outsmarted himself. He prides himself on his intelligence, so he’ll certainly use it to his advantage, but he’s not infallible.
If Alcor were to decrease the size of those rabid Twin Souls fanatics who summon him, maybe appear more like a child? I mean, those fans aren’t crazy enough to ship a kid…. right?
It might put off a very small number, but definitely not all of them. Apparent age is not always an object, especially when the being in question is a demon and can demonstrably appear to be any age he wishes at any time. They’ll ship him with whomever they wish regardless.
Wait, if the final pam can exist…what about him? You know, “him”. Does he exist as well? Is Busto around anywhere?
We don’t really do crossovers so much as some hypothetical questions (i.e. who would win in a fight, in theory? What hogwarts houses, in theory?) so it’s not that these entities actually exist in TAU-verse.
That said, their media of origin, or at least a version of it, generally do exist in this world. “Who would win in a fight” could be a debate among the triplets in that case.
does alcor ever get caught doing something both parties KNOW about but neither want to ACKNOWLEDGE? like bentley and torako coming home to the apartment early to find alcor eating a soul on the couch or something like that? like an unexpected encounter that just leaves everyone stock still with “oh shit” expressions
Absolutely yes he does get caught. Maybe he wouldn’t be eating a soul on Bentley and Torako’s couch, but he’s definitely been caught.
Can someone create art for The Insatiable Ones? I’d like to think of it as that we can all create our own persona’s and just be a hodgepodge of random ass beings ranging from anthropomorphic beasts to indescribable masses of tentacles and limbs to normal humans or other preternatural beings.
Alternately, they appear as a seething crowd of grey beings with perfectly spherical heads. Every single one is wearing a pair of sunglasses.
So when does Alcor often take the form as his 12-year old self aside during Mabel’s lifetime? Usually when to troll someone or undercover?
Trolling and undercover stuff, yes. Occasionally for the sake of friendly manipulation – puppy eyes just tend to be that much cuter on a tiny face. Sometimes showing up as a child can be unnerving, depending on the circumstance, and depending on the circumstance he might want that effect.
Exhaustion can push him to this form, though that becomes more and more difficult to achieve the longer he lives. Sometimes deep emotional vulnerability does it too, though it’s not guaranteed.
Basically, if he wants or needs to be twelve, he can be twelve.
