Since Alcor has a fox as a familiar as well as his sheep I imagine them not getting along at all and Dipper just being stuck in the middle of it
If Dipper were to truly have any “familiars”, they’d probably just be the sheep. I see Anser, or the fox, as being more of a friend, an occasional partner in crime.
It’s not like he sees either of them constantly anyway. And since the fox and sheep have different roles, Dipper could probably keep them separated.

So with Anser the fox or whatever he’s called is he always with Alcor or just occasionally? It would be cool if he hung around the times when his constellation is brightest or something like that
It would most likely just be an occasional thing. Dipper’s not quite the type to really take on familiars, but he won’t say no to weird ethereal fox friends!

I think I missed an important day a while back; but whats up with the fox? where did xe come from? where did xe go? where did xe come from? cotton eye joe? … but really though, who is xe?
Dipper having the fox and the sheep as “familiars” is very symbolic, don’t you think, with the two sides to him? And what if, after a while, the sheep slowly dwindles away, symbolising the loss of humanity and the gain of fierceness and inhumanity?

so the bunny lives for a long time right, but one day it’s gonna have to die. what if when it does the fox thinks it’s finally in the clear/free of that damn bunny stealing the spotlight, only to find that the bunny has returned as a ghost and will basically live for even longer/forever and the cult of sir dippingsauce loves it even more now that it’s spookier.
Lepus continues to be cute as fuck.
