Would Hank or Acacia (probably Acacia) ever wonder what Willow sees every day and make a deal with Dipper to have the Sight for a day/a few hours?

Mod S here!

I love this idea but I think I’m going to have to say no.

That’s because Hank and Acacia can see that having the Sight (especially the amped up version that Willow has) isn’t always the greatest thing ever.

There’ve been days where one or both of them have had to hold Willow and let her cry on their shoulders because she saw a tourist at Greasy’s whose aura was pitch black and their hands dripped with blood, or she let her guard down for one second and suddenly was inaundated with the auras and emotions of thirty pre-teen girls in gym class and she felt like she was going to puke…

There are the days where Willow sneezes and flame shoots out of her fingers, and while half the school is cool with that and all, there is still that other half that gives her the hairy eyeball and stays as far away from that weird Pines kid as much as possible.

There are the days where Willow locks herself up in their room and lies on her bunk because she’s getting lost in everyone else’s feelings, despite her best efforts, and she is losing herself and she needs to be alone now.

So yeah. Hank and Acacia are cool without the Sight.

Give me a fact about the first(?) fic you wrote for the Transcendence AU with Leigh?

haberdashing:

Yep, The Summoning is the first fic I ever wrote for the AU! First Gravity Falls fic I did, actually. The beginning of an era.

I came up with the name Leigh as a reference to the Stanley theory, though it hadn’t been mentioned in the context of the AU at that time.

Also, it was written well before the triplets’ kids were known entities. In fact, it might’ve been before the triplets; I know the first fic mentioning the triplets was published around the same time, but I’m not sure which came first. Leigh is not one of the triplets’ kids in more recent canon, but rather than dismissing the fic as no longer canonical (which I’ve had to do on occasion, though more for Twitch Plays Pokemon than for Transcendence AU) for that reason, I’ve headcanoned that Leigh is one of the Pleiades. A tenuous claim to canonicity, but a claim nonetheless.
