Heyyyy as an aromantic person looking at that ask about demons being aro and/or ace I just want to clarify that “aromantic” doesn’t mean “feels NO love,” it means “doesn’t feel romantic love/attraction” specifically. Being equated to demons is a lil hurtful. I’m sure it’s just a wording issue and you didn’t mean to imply that. Demons feel NO love because they’re demons; not feeling ROMANTIC love/attraction (i.e. being aromantic) is a separate issue and doesn’t make you a demon.

noooo, I’m sorry if it was worded badly! the mod who answered is also aromantic, so I never meant for those two things to be synonymous. The intended message was that demons don’t feel any love, INCLUDING romantic love, and that inclusion of romantic love makes them aromantic. Not because they feel no love at all. (remember that Dipper is portrayed as aromantic, and he still very much loves his friends and family – as the only demon who does feel love)

I hope that clears things up! if I’m explaining this badly yet again, please feel free to send me another message ;w;

Why do I feel like Brian would sound like a more demonic Eyore or Droopy, what with all of the times he’s been summoned by accident?

that sounds about right for his demeanor! probably add just a bit of sinister-ness into his tone, though. he is a demon after all hehe. the end result is something that sounds almost… bitter, or maybe even just plain tired.

incidentally, my (mod c’s) specific headcanon for what brian’s actual voice sounds like is some kinda echoey-telepathic version of jack jones. he doesn’t talk much; he mostly gurgles and spurts, but when he does say words it’s less actually moving his mouth beak and more like the words come unbidden into your head. it’s almost as disturbing as brian himself.

do you think it would be possible to accidentally summon 2 demons with 1 circle. what do you think would be worse, trying to summon one demon and getting two completely different demons, or trying to summon a demon and the demon coming but another demon there too.

you get the demon you summon, unless you mess up the circle or something, in which case you get either the wrong demon or no demon at all (the latter is more likely).

there have been people that have written fics where dipper takes along people to a summon (accidentally or otherwise), and there’s also the case of canella who has that lesser demon that carries her around, so i guess those kinda count as 2 demons for one circle. but most demons don’t really do that; the actual chance of getting a ‘2-for-1’ on accident is pretty rare.
