you guys have been awfully quiet the last two days… is everything alright?

We are okay! The queue ran out, partially because some of us have been out of town/busy, and also because there’s not been a ton of tag content recently.

We are working on restocking the queue, and in order to ensure dank content on your dash daily, have dialed it back from 3 posts to 1 post a day, at least until we can rebuild a significant stockpile again!

Hey – turns out I am looking for suggestions already for The Starlight Princess. I’m looking for a song for when Mizar is rallying people, and hitting a wall. (Me, not Mizar. Her success rate is high. Disney Princess high.)

I keep thinking of “Time to be Awesome” from the new Pony movie, of “I’ve Got a Dream” from Tangled, or “Do You Hear the People Sing” from Les Miserables, but none of them quite fit. A “I know it looks bleak but don’t give up hope, if we work together we can do this” type song for a group.

If anyone has any ideas, could you toss them in my inbox?

So I’m looking for a fic. It has Alcor and he’s living with a roommate and they are having a fight because Dipper like leaves the milk out or something, and so the roommate’s fam ask him to help with a summoning ritual (cause he’s in collage for it I think) and then the roommate gets all passive aggressive with Dipper because he’s upset the milk was out or something. I read it awhile ago but can’t find it again. Do you know what it is or who wrote it? Thanks

Just gotta say, So You Want To Be A Demonologist has been at least 50% of my motivation in my career choice. The whole being in the lab, researching and basically never stopping asking why, that is literally my ideal life and I’m so happy I found out I could be paid to do it. I have started work in my university’s physics lab and it is so much fun. I am in such a good place now with that story being a significant part of why. I’m gonna be in school forever but I can’t wait to keep at it!

So, I was wondering if this universe had an afterlife, I mean I know about the whole reincarnation thing, but I’m sure some souls choose not to, and if so is there somewhere they could go, or would they just die? Also, if so, what if Mizar or someone else precious to Alcor decided not to return, would Alcor ever try to visit them or convince them to return, or has he read too many legends and myths where someone tries to go there and everything end up terribly for them?

There’s not a strict…afterlife, really, but there is a place where souls can go between incarnations. It’s closed off to any being not purely a soul, which means it’s inaccessible to Alcor. If a soul decided to stay in that other realm for any amount of time, he’d be unable to do anything about it. If Mizar did it, he would probably spiral a bit–even if he shouldn’t depend so much on her existence, he does it anyways.

In terms of length of stay in that other place, it varies. Souls typically don’t stay forever; some souls bounce back for a short while and then get out to go live life again, some souls take a bit longer, others take ages, and then maybe there are souls that stick around to only occasionally live.
