He certainly tries, but even translated, some things don’t age well. Especially fantasy things.
(Also, Dipper has to end up translating the things himself, and a lot of the language ends up archaic or clunky because languages never translate directly all the time).

Can I just say that this AU is the best AU ever?? Like, it’s super complicated but it’s got a wealth of never-ending possibility and I love seeing all the things people come up with, and you guys running the blog are really nice and I just wanted to thank you all for making all this awesome stuff.

When I was younger I used to spend hours and hours pouring over this AU. It’s a big part of why I got a Tumblr in the first place. Yesterday I thought about it for the first time in years and realized how shockingly sad the concept really is. Y’all are amazing.
