As far as Mod S knows no one has but you know what? Even if some one did you should go ahead anyway! We got a fast and loose canon here so have fun and let us see what you have in mind!!! 🙂
Ok, I frickin love the Transcendence AU, but if I get too deep into it then I start to cry because immortality/being demon sucks. So here’s a chart of how much time I spend on the @transcendence-au tumblr page relates to my emotions.
Transcendence AU: Noun, the most fucking angstiest AU in the history of mankind.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go think about Dipper/Alcor crying golden tears while huddled up by Mabel’s grave. And also maybe cry.
P.S. Go read some Transcendence Fanfics they’re the best if u like angsty stuff.
Obviously we are taking too long to get to the red faces! We will strive to cut our TTA (time to angst) in half in the upcoming financial quarter.
Of course! And there are several r!charas created by non-mods. Off the top of my head, there’s Max, Chrys, and Luis. Many other characters that just kind of appeared from the TAU collective consciousness, like Toby, where someone comes up with a headcanon and someone else runs with it, etc. Hell, if you trace back RRR and Belle to their origins, they started with an anonymous ask to the blog! It’s a pretty communal experience.
Anyway, there aren’t any hard and fast rules to making r!charas. Just try to stick to the hard rules of canon. For example: a human soul most likely isn’t going to reincarnate into a demon or generally anything but a human (with kitty!Mabel a rare exception). Physical traits don’t pass over, nor do abilities, memories (except very rarely) or powers. Things like that.
Creating an r!chara is always a tricky balance between making a distinct, new character and giving them traits that the “original incarnation”, so to speak, had so the shared soul between the two incarnations can be seen. But again, there’s no rules to that process! Sometimes a character is a lot like their preincarnation, and sometimes they share few traits at all. In strange cases like Toby, they’re total opposites! But we’d say the real rule is to have fun with it!
