“Scratch. And that’s all you really want to know, trust me.”

“How many gummi worms can I stick up my nose before I need
to stop?”

“OH OOOOH OH WAIT why do hot dogs come in packs of eight and
buns in packs of sixteen?”

Alcor flipped through one of the really weird magazines
Grunkle Stan kept around the house, seemingly bored, but Mabel knew her brother
better. She knew he was getting a kick out of this.

Outwardly, he sighed heavily and flipped another page. “To sell more hot dogs; Mabel, aren’t you
going to ask me what the meaning of life is or something like that?”

She plopped down on the stool behind the counter next to
Alcor, and leaned into his side.

“Well smarty-pants? What is the meaning of life?” Mabel
asked.

“I’m going to need s̭̲̦̜̟͎͢om̛̲̱͔e̜͚͙͈t̛̲̞̲h̢͕͚i̻̗n͈͕g͇͉̱̺͎̞̟
from you in return for that information,” the older version of her brother
sniffed.

Hah! Mabel knew
what that sniff meant.

“Yooooouuuu don’t
know!”

The look on Alcor’s face would be more at home on Dipper’s
face than that of a demon a few millennia old.

“Do so!”

Mabel snorted. “Then tell me!”

Alcor huffed and crossed his arms.

“I can’t, not without a deal-and a good one at that. Not
happening Mabel.”

Mabel jumped off the stool and began to dance around him.

“You don’t know, you don’t know, you don’t knowowow-“she
sang, acting a little childish perhaps, but it was absolutely hysterical to see
Alcor literally turn red from head to toe. Not blushing red, but red like
people did in cartoons and it was
amazing.

“Mabel s̛to̤͇͈̪͇͝p͍ͅͅ!”

“Not until you tell me or admit you don’t know!” Mabel sang,
sneaking in real quick to goose Alcor between his buttwings (and oh how he hated them being called
buttwings it was great) before continuing
to dance around.

“You can’t keep this up forever,” Alcor pointed out, raising
an eyebrow.

“I can’t,” Mabel admitted, “But I was thinking of getting
Bear-o out for company, and then maybe make all the books in our bedroom crooked,
and get Stan’s jokebook out and-“

“O̸̺KḀ̵̲͙̙̘̼Ỵ̜̥̤̮̟!͚̹͖͚̺͖͘” Alcor yelled with a little
burst of fire from his fingertips, and it never failed to make Mabel
laught when her brother was in a pouty
kind of mood. “I’ll tell you, alright?”

Immediately Mabel was back on the stool. “Go on,” she
goaded, leaning down briefly to pick up Waddles who wandered by.

“Well….”

“Yes?”

Alcor scratched his head under his floating hat. “It’s kind
of-“

Mabel stared and blinked slowly, which if Alcor was like
Dipper, would freak him the heck out.

“Oh my god Mabel don’t do that-“

“Meaning of life? Still waiting.”

“I….I…idon’tknowokay.”

“What was that?”

“Mabel!”

“I didn’t hear you!”

Dipper walked in just in time to see his alternate self
burst into flame from head to toe, stomp his feet, and vanish from view.

Mabel grinned the biggest shit eating grin he had ever seen
on his sister before.

“I win.”

(A fic that turned out much longer than I expected, written for this post and this post in the transcendence-au‘s transdimensional arc, because whenever I see a “Alcor saying/doing a disturbingly Bill-like thing” headcanon I just really can’t help myself, and I haven’t seen anyone else take the prompts yet, so.)

Dipper still wasn’t sure all what to think of the demon who shared his face. He didn’t trust him, of course, Alcor was a demon, and who’d be foolish enough to trust a demon whose smiles were too sharp and laughter still too cruel,

whose powers were so close to the ones Dipper knew as Bill’s. A demon who apparently owned Mabel’s soul. Yeah, Dipper didn’t trust that guy. But, as much as he hated to admit it, even to himself, he was starting to think that maybe there was at least a little more to Alcor than just being a sarcastic asshole of a demon.

Which is why Dipper was here, now, in the woods outside the Mystery Shack, clearing his throat at increasingly loud volumes while his alternate self hovered above him muttering incomprehensibly either at or about the orb of unstable light and magic in his hand. The thing was ever-shifting, its surface giving off an image not unlike oil on water, and Dipper had to push back the questions that rose to his lips. He was here for a reason, dang it, and it wasn’t whatever that thing was.

“Seriously?” Dipper said aloud, when the loudest ahem he could manage didn’t garner the demon’s attention. “Man, come on, it’s hot out here. I just wanted to ask you a question.”

Alcor’s gaze flickered momentarily from the orb to Dipper, and he grinned. The image of so many sharp teeth in a human-appearing mouth made Dipper shudder, still.

“You want to make a deal?” The demon asked, sounding both pleased and incredulous at the same time. “I thought you didn’t trust me.”

I think my favorite thing about Alcor and Dipper interactions in the transdimensional arc is the fact it pretty much Alcor punishing himself and telling him DEMONS ARE BAD DONT BECOME A DEMON

In the transdimensional arc, would Mabel and Henry still get together? Henry came to Gravity Falls under circumstances that would occur in a “normal” world, but Mabel might only go to GF as a summer home and could already be taken without a demon brother to scare off most BFs. Also, if they did get together, would Hank and Acacia be Willow’s twin cousins and would Dipper be her father?

Yes and yes

Transdimensional arc, Alcor being distracted with something and Dipper trying to get his attention and Alcor offhandedly calling him Pine Tree, only to freeze, realize what he said and have a small existecial crisis. Dipper doesn’t know whether to help calm his down or pull a “I knew it!!”

Dipper probably goes through several stages of terror and gloating before finally settling on a timid sort of sympathy.

Transdim arc HC: Dipper and Alcor have a pokemon battle that goes on for hours.

Precious babbu dorks

Had the Transcendence not happened and Willow was Dipper’s daughter, I still see him raising her with Mabel and Henry like a huge family. I personally don’t see him settling down with a romantic partner of his own? I’m thinking surrogate mother, tbh. (Maybe it’s gestational and Wendy donated the egg so Willow still has Corduroy lumberjack genes? Or is that pushing it haha)

Yup and he almost loses it the first time he sees mabel

odimet answered: a few years down the line, in the trans dimensional arc, alcor decides to check in to see how his disturbances had changed things. He finds it particularly disturbing upon realizing the triplets are, instead, a pair of twins with a very close cousin

He didn’t go back.

(He didn’t trust himself to do so.)

But he did have a window open, the same window that let him know that something was up when this whole mess started. Just to check on things, make sure everything was going okay.

That was how he saw them.

There was Mabel, and a tall red headed man that Dipper happily recognized as Henry. How they got together in that universe, he had no idea, but he was happy that it happened.

There was a picnic basket and a blanket in front of the Shack, and they were on it, along with Stan, and Soos and Melody, and Wendy.

There were two chubby red headed toddlers that Dipper recognized with a wrench in his heart as Acacia and Hank, identical down to the freckles on their face.

But where was Willow? For that matter, where was his alternative self?

Almost as in answer to that question, his other self appeared in the yard, to the happy cries of all.

He held a little girl’s hand in his. A little girl with the same brown hair that he and Mabel had, same cutie snub nose both of them had. There was a birthmark on her forehead in the shape of Boötes. She saw Acacia and Willow and ran over with a happy cry, tripping and falling on her face once, but getting up immediately. The three kids began to play and Dipper, looking in on the scene, felt faint.

That was Willow. Different looking without Henry’s genes, but he knew in his soul that that was his second niece.

Though in this other universe, not his niece but his daughter.

Dipper turned away from the window suddenly, letting it blip out of existence.

He had absolutely no idea how to feel about this.
