The Other Way Chapter 2: Hello! It’s A Demon!

thatdisastrousfangirl-writes:

Apparently people like this so have the next chapter 🙂

It will be a while before I can post the third chapter but I’ll try to get it up by mid next month-ish

Dipper (the older more demonic one, considering there were kinda two now, not that the twins knew that) tessered them to the old house he had bought all those years ago, and had lived in with his child (because now Toby was long gone, he just couldn’t deny that that was what he was. His son…. Adopted, that is). Little Dipper and Mabel stumbled around a bit after appearing, Little Dipper decidedly stumbling away from him, but that was understandable. He definitely wouldn’t have wanted to trust himself in this situation.

The Other Way Chapter 1: A Very, Very bad Situation

thatdisastrousfangirl-writes:

A while ago I saw a thing on the main TAU blog that talked about a Transdim AU where instead of Dipper going to another dimension, little Mabel and Dipper from another one came to the TAUverse and i felt like writing about that. Hope you like it 🙂

“This is bad, this is very, very bad,” Dipper said, pacing back and forth at the end of the alleyway the two twins had showed up in.

“Just relax Dipdip, I’m sure it’ll be fine,” Mabel responded, half-heartedly trying to calm him down, but knowing it really wouldn’t work.

“Mabel we’re in another dimension! How on earth am I supposed to relax!?” Mabel didn’t say anything, just sat down and watched her brother with a worried expression as he mumbled to himself.

Transdimensional Arc Shenanigans: The twins witnessing Alcor gorging himself with either an entire buffet or large supplies of candies in seconds. Or if going to the surreal, feasting on some kind of carcass of some kind that may or may not be an animal but the meat is raw and blood oozing out and, it stinks, what are you doing, Alcor!?

the disgust lasts until Mabel realizes that Alcor will eat  a n y t h i n g and that includes her concoctions. Dipper meanwhile is taking notes (”If you eat this will it hurt you?” “Nope”- times 100)

Shenanigans ensue

Transdimensional arc: Dipper and Mabel meeting Alvie, with Dipper questioning on how Alcor managed to create a sentient virus that’s designed to his liking. And of course the twins growing attached to the virus.

You know that this would mean Alcor showing up in this other dimension, having to wait around for Bill to resurface, and in the meantime deciding to recreate Alvie in this universe using all the code he knows. Which, let’s be honest, he’d probably do, if only out of boredom and a need for chaos.

Now, how well Alvie would work in a ‘verse where it’s all computers and very little magic, and where the computer capabilities are probably decades if not centuries behind what they would be when Alcor made him…um…

Maybe Alcor just figures out a way to retrofit the coding to something that can actually be supported by the non-magical computer systems of earth of that time. Somehow. Alvie -2.0. It’ll grow as the supporting technology does; it’s just starting off further back.

Transdimensional arc: One way or another, Alcor ends up having a bet with Stan. Who’ll win the bet?

They approach their bet with honor and fairness for about the first thirty seconds after they make it.

After that it just spirals into this rapidly escalating series of subtle to outright to blatant efforts at cheating their respective ways into victory and calling each other out over said cheating and denying everything about cheating, and next thing you know they’re targeting each other directly via pranks and sabotage rather than focusing on the outcome of the bet…

By the end of it nobody wins, because the bet was either outright forgotten or the subject matter of it never got resolved, there’s silly string everywhere, and half the rooms in the Shack are literally upside down if not inside out.

right, so long long ago when i was deep in the gf fandom since the series had just ended, i found this au, and did some (admittedly bad) fanart. recently i did some cleaning, found this, and decided to redraw it. so hereeee ya go. tbh i dont remember if this pic fit into any fic/ headcannon/ situation in this au as a whole but i think it mightve been a… parallel verse meeting, or something. hope ya like it ^^

Is Alacor able to travel through Aus? If so, does he like to mess with everyone by pulling mini pranks? Like out of no where, a laser pointer interrupts Stanfur of Monster Falls reading. Alacor is laughing his ass off.

We don’t tend to have a lot of dimensional travel, as it damages the fabric of space-time too much. The Transdimensional Arc is, to date, the only canon example of this kind of crossing in this AU (as far as Mod O remembers at least), and it was a special case where Alcor decided that the risks of not getting involved were greater than the risks of the aforementioned damage done.

Transdimensional arc seems to be a journey for both Alcor and the alternate twins. Alcor has a chance to interact with people he knows during his human days, reconnecting with his humanity while the twins (especially Dipper) grow close to him and learn bits and bits about the demon on contrary to the initial impression as a sadistic jerk who has Bill’s powers. Like with how long he has lived, there are multiple layers to Alcor’s character.
