hanukkah shenanigans.

puppetmaster55:

The kitchen was dark, the menorah sitting on the table. Willow stood before it, the rest of the Pines family gathered around her. Mabel watched with anticipation (Henry standing beside her with the lighter and the fire extinguisher) as her ten-year-old daughter picked up the box of matches, pulling out a single match. The tip scratched against the side of the box once, twice, thrice, finally lighting up one the fourth try. Willow quickly lit the middle candle, pulling the match up to her lips, blowing hard and blowing out the match — and the candle.

Grunkle Stan turned his laugh into a cough, while Hank and Acacia couldn’t hide the sniggers. Willow blushed, an angry red, pulling out another match and lighting it on the first try.

The main candle was lit again, the match blown out (this time not facing the candle), and Willow lifted it up. The entire room was silent as she moved toward the leftmost candle. “Baruch atoi adonai,” she began as the wick of the first candle caught fire, moving to the second, “alohaynu melachi alum,” the thrid candle was lit, and Mabel readied the camera, “kashere kidshanu, bamids vatov, vitsi vaanu,” the fourth candle now, then the fifth, “lahodlic-nair, shall Hanukkah.”

Mabel cheered, clapping with Henry while Dipper floated into the room with a bundle of presents in his arms. She snapped a picture when Willow returned the main candle back in its place, ushered Willow over with Acacia and Hank back into the living room. Henry dug through the pile of presents, holding one up every few seconds for Mable to confirm which present who got to open that night.

Soon they were seated in a loose circle around the room — Henry, Willow, and Hank on the couch, Acacia on the floor beside them, and Grunkle Stan in the chair. Dipper left the room wih the rest of the presents, preparing his own gifts to the triplets.

Presents were opened, pictures were taken, but Dipper still hadn’t returned. Henry shot a nervous look at Mabel, one hand rubbing at where his antlers would be on his scalp, but she just shrugged. Dipper had been careful not to let her in on what he planned to give them, but she didn’t worry.

With a mushroom cloud of purple-spotted smoke, Sir Dippinsauce appeared in the room with a smile on his face. Both arms spread out wide, and something sparkly (Mabel figured it was either glitter or something that looked like it) flew out of his sweater sleeves. “Happy Hannukah to my favorite Niblings! For tonight only, your gift shall be the gift of flight. Have some special fairy dust and think happy thoughts!”

Sir Dippinsauce flung out his arms, the glittery dust covering all three of the kids, and they started laughing as they floated into the air. Mabel double-checked that the camera was on her hand while Henry groaned into his hands. The sounds of laughter and shrieking filled the Mystery Shack late into the night.

HOW DID WE MISS THIS OMGGGGGGGGGG

When Dip first admits to Mabel how afraid he is about being alone after she dies she says to him, “I’ll have tons of kids! 10! No, 20! They’ll have kids, and you’ll never be alone! Ever! I promise!” A week after the triplets are born: “Yeah, remember what I said about 20? Horrible idea. 3 is more than enough.”

YES THIS.

(One time one of Henry’s cousins they still keep in touch with asked innocently if they hadn’t ever thought about having a fourth child.

Mabel and Henry looked at each other as in the background, Willow was having a sneezing fit and accidentally starting small fires, Acacia was trying to climb on the roof and Dipper constantly grabbing her back down, and Hank was wearing the same shirt for the eighth day in a row because he was having one of his stubborn fits.

Then they laughed in Matilda’s face for three minutes straight)

HC: After Mabel and Pacifica become (good) friends Mabel picks up the habit of making flower crowns and any kind of crown for Pacifica and putting it on her head every time she comes over to visit the Pines house and they become more elaborate (shiny stones etc) as time passes. After a while and the triplets have become a bit older, Pacifica develops an automatic reaction to bow down to kids level so they can put a crown on her head. She sometimes forgets to take it off.

Altar of the Eater Part 1 of 3 (maybe 4)

forlornaltar:

So here we go! My first multi-chapter fic. Summary: It’s the day before Summerween, the kids are playing and the summons become frustrating, the night is still young for those in the Pines family. Unfortunately, peace and quiet isn’t something they’re well known for having much of. A large, familiar door appears outside the Mystery Shack, where a demon with a warning awaits the Dreambender. “Gravity Falls is in danger and you, unknowingly, caused it.” I’m sorry if it’s a crappy summary, but everything will be explained in the story! I hope you guys like this. FA Out.

imagine mabel baking cookies and the dilemma arises of who gets the beater for the cookie dough-acacia, hank, willow, or dipper (who felt the tension between the niblets and popped in concerned until he actually sees the situation and /i want some too/). the end result is mabel giving in to all four and makes four separate recipes in four separate bowls-all their favorite of choice, of course. (sorry if this is a double ask; tumblr derped when i tried to send it the first time)

Crystalline Woods: Part 2

I made a sequel to my previous fic, also I made a mistake in the intro to the first part, I meant to say that Crystal’s mom is Thai, not Taiwanese (sorry about that).

—————————————————————————————————————————————-

It had been two weeks. Two weeks since the Cult had kidnapped her and her mother. Two weeks of fretting and reading and feeling like there was someone else in her head. Sometimes she had these vague feelings, inklings of three children, of a brother, of a wife. And then just as quickly as they appeared, they were gone.

Crystal was going out of her mind. Nothing had happened for the past two weeks and she almost wished something would just happen, as it was all she could do was try and find out who or what the man with the antlers was and why he had come when she called. .

Every time she went to the library to get more books for research she somehow knew exactly which books to take, it felt like the same way she had felt about having more family than she had. But despite that she couldn’t find almost anything on the Antler creature. Shouldn’t it be called the Woodsman? There it was again! the weird feelings of something being true without her actually being able to know the information.

The only thing she had found on the Woodsman (after finding out that its name was that) was that years ago he had begun appearing and taking down cults and religious extremists, usually along with Mizar and Alcor, starting with something called “The Caney Patch Massacre”. But around 2086 people stopped seeing him, or at least the same way. He started appearing much less(almost exclusively in the town of Gravity Falls) , and eventually people stopped seeing him outside of Gravity Falls’s woods entirely. But he started looking even less human, before he had looked to be flesh and blood, although pale as death and partially flaming, and  But when he did appear, he seemed more mindless and looked like a shadow of what he was before. Literally, he started looking more like a shadow than a corporeal creature.

Which was exactly what she had seen.

—————————————————————————————————————————————-

Crystal pulled out the ax her ax from under the bed. She held it on her lap, felt the cold metal and the wooden handle so smooth it felt soft on her hand and shivered. She could almost feel the hands it had taken the hands she had taken. She felt a weight from somewhere above her head, almost as if she had-wait. No. she couldn’t have…?

Crystal shoved the axe back under her bed and ran out of her room and into the bathroom, in the mirror she saw antlers sprouting from her head. Crystal just stared for a few minutes, then she finally realized what was different besides the antlers. Her eyes were green. Not as in the eye color, but as in green, the color of leaves. Pure, distilled green. She tried blinking a few times to see if she was seeing right but it didn’t go away. She tried blinking harder and when she opened her eyes they were back to their normal grey, and she couldn’t see the antlers anymore.

The pieces connected in her mind, some people had always looked at her a little funny. People with the Sight. But that was impossible right? That was before what happened two weeks ago! How could she have had antlers before she even saw the woodsman? and why did she randomly get the sight just now? Crystal’s mom knocking on the bathroom door interrupted her runaway train of thought.

“Crystal? Are you in there?”

“yeah mom” Crystal tried to keep panic out of her voice

“I brought home dinner, wanna eat together?”

“No, I’m studying in my room”

“It’s summer Crystal, I don’t think you have to study”

“Oh, uh, it’s for that Demonology class I wanna take, there’s required summer reading”

“Oh well okay fine, I’ll leave your dinner on the table”

Crystal hadn’t exactly lied, she did have required summer reading for her Demonology class next year, but she had already finished it, she mostly wanted to be alone to think everything through. She grabbed her dinner and hurried to her room, she stacked up all the books she had gotten from the library and sat on her bed to think.

Along with looking in books Crystal had done research on the internet about the Woodsman but no one really talked about him much anymore and certainly not about him showing up and merging with people when they needed help. None of this made any sense.

Well I have a month and a half to figure this out before school starts, she thought as she settled in to go to sleep and slowly drifted off into dreams that weren’t hers.

—————————————————————————————————————————————-

Henry smiled. He was at home, on the couch with his wife, she looked beautiful. she had a bat with barbed wire, nails, and banishing runes on it in her hand and her eyes were full of sadistic glee. His kids, now in their mid teens rushed down the stairs.

“we’re going out into the woods!” Acacia shouted at her dad, she had an eye patch on one eye with Alcor’s summoning circle sewn on it and flaming brass knuckles on her hands, a murderous grin was painted on her face.

“we’re gonna try and find some creatures that haven’t been discovered yet!” Willow added, clearly excited. She was wreathed in blue fire with eyes that were black and gold, filled with hatred.

”I also wanna check that there aren’t any trapped animals, people from out of town have been putting out traps.” Hank added. He had his bat in his hand, it was similar to his mothers but covered in more runes and nails, blood coated his hands.

Dipper appeared, back from a summons, “I’ll go with to make sure you don’t get into too much trouble,” He was black as the void of space with golden brickwork crisscrossing his dark form, his eyes were pure gold.

”what’s all this racket in here? It’s noon, some people are trying to sleep!” Stan walked in the room, Fully clothed in his business suit.He was also wearing his heist gloves and had a silenced pistol in his hands. He had cold eyes, and altogether it gave him the look of a professional assassin.

Suddenly all of them were being strangled by disembodied hands, each of them with a string tied to it. He followed the strings to their source. It was him. He looked down at his hands, one of them was deathly pale and the other arm was wooden and led to an ax handle. He screamed at the top of his lungs.

Crystal woke up in a cold sweat, still screaming
