Since Leshy are kinda tall forest protectors is the woodsman ever mistaken for one or thought to be descendant/subspecies of one. And does the woodsman have a relationship with them if any or are they kinda enemies such as the woodsman is later on with Pan.

I can’t believe I forgot the Leshy!
I can see the Woodsman being occasionally mistaken for a leshy, but probably only in Europe, where the leshy originated. In other parts of the world, he is very distinctively the Woodsman, with a clear(ish) origin and his own growing mythos.
The Woodsman for his part would probably be content to remain on distant yet friendly terms. Unless there’s child stealing involved.
Then he would be not so friendly.
