unpopular opinion but it’s cool if you don’t want to be in love
like, idk. I used to feel so compelled to make excuses for being single, whether it was self-deprecating jokes about myself or insisting that I was too busy for a relationship or making myself go out on uncomfortable and pointless dates just to make a show of trying to not be single. there’s such an expectation that if you’re single you should be actively working of changing that, and it’s like. nah. there are 9999 other things you can be focusing your time and energy on and if you don’t really feel like being in a relationship now or ever that’s cool.
Because of grad school and growing a baby inside her (holy shit what a badass) Mod S can’t make this year’s ficathon again. But that’s okay, because we can make our own ficathon, we don’t need any mods! (that’s a lie we love and depend on you guys)
We are holding another ficathon!!!
And it’s not just fic, any type of content is excepted. Fic? It’s in the name. Art? Just mess me up. Music? It’s been so long I would love to see some more. A full feature animated film? That’s very ambitious for but hey we have two whole months so mess us up!
Here’s how it’s going to work!
1. Prompts and Sign Ups!
From now on, we will be taking prompts and sign ups! You can do both by going to this spreadsheet here and submitting a prompt/signing up for a prompt. We recommend doing this as soon as possible, as the sooner you put your prompt in the more time someone has to work on it. In addition, everything under the fic open season and art open season tag is fair game as well!
2. Posting!
Once you have taken a prompt, please have it done by October 5th! In order to make this a big fun day full of fic and art (like Yuletide on AO3,) if you get done before the 5th, please schedule your post to go online on October 5th.
3. Questions!
Can we submit our fic/art for the thon to you?
If by “you” you mean the main TAU blog, then absolutely! Just let us know its for the ficathon so we can schedule it for the first?
If by “you” you mean beelieveinfandom, aka the person who made the OP, then no. I am but a floundering bee who does not know what to do when people give me wonderful things. Please submit everything to the main blog.
Do we need to do any special tags?
Nope! Just the usual “transcendence au” and we’ll see it from there.
Are you going to chase us down with hammers if we don’t finish our prompt on time?
Nope. While we encourage everyone who picks up a draft to finish it of course, neither are we going to chase you with a banhammer. Don’t get discouraged if you can’t finish your prompt in time, we still would love to see your content whenever it is ready.

I want to participate but I don’t feel like doing any of the prompts? Can I just write/draw my own thing anyway?
