Is it just me or Count of Monty Cristo’s “Every day a Little Death” and “I know those eyes/That man is dead” sound very Drift au! ish. In case one, the dialogue is very heavy to losing oneself to loneliness and anger, and case 2 is person A seeing someone they missed again(they can’t belive it) but person B has let go of the chance long ago.

This is entirely possible – the mods never intended any Count of Monty Cristo meta, but the themes present in any concept or story created now are hardly going to be unique or totally new to humanity in any case.

So, if you want to analyze the thematic elements of TAU and compare/contrast these to various classics of literature, knock yourself out! The opportunities for it are bound to be out there somewhere.

Mod k, what exactly was the driving force behind you destroying California?

Listen. Listen dear anon. I. I didn’t destroy CA, that was all Dipper. and a couple cults. It wasn’t my fault. No. Not my fault. Don’t listen to Mod S, she speaks nothing but lies.

(More seriously, it was inspired by this ask from forever ago. I bookmarked it and decided ‘hey this would be cool fic’ and then whoops lots of the CA coastline was suddenly underwater, millions were dead, and it’s a miracle that the world didn’t end because of it.)

Transcendence Amibo

Did you guys know there is a Transcendence Amibo? It’s pretty cool!

Another thing I wanted to tell you guys is that this fandom baby you created (which has drawn us all in for the rest of our lives) has made my life more bearable, and has sparked and strengthened friendships, I can not thank you amazing people enough. You have given me insparation to write, draw, and imagine. You have helped me find myself, and have helped me explore and create myself. Thank you so much

In regards to that “was Torako a cat or a dolphin in a past life” ask… imagine if she was, and like you guys have said, it’s weird for souls to reincarnate outside of their species… and “Torako” as we know her was a one-off… and Dipper never gets to experience her companionship as a sentient being ever again :(

That would be awful! But thankfully Torako is a human reincarnation, just one that Dipper’s never bumped elbows with–at least, not in a meaningful way.

Ages ago there was this cool fic about a researcher of supernatural things who came to Gravity Falls, and found a strange child (Alcor) in the forest. I don’t remember what happened to that fic or if it was even finished. I remember a scene where the researcher is trying to warn Dipper about the multibear but they just listened to Babba or played chess or something.

I believe you’re talking about Officer Durai’s adventures, written by @thesleepiestsheepy. Here is the first chapter on AO3!
