Oh man but what if in one reincarnation Mabel is born with a twin, and the twin is R!Tyrone. And Dipper is just so freaking torn because that should be HIM, Tyrone was part of HIS soul, that SHOULD BE HIM, and it partly feels like relief (because in an intrinsic way he trusts Tyrone to protect Mabel, they were the same guy once after all) and like betrayal, because it’s like Tyrone ultimately won that clone fight and supplanted him. (And Alcor might or might not watch them grow up both to make sure they’re okay and in an attempt to console himself that he was a much better brother than Tyrone. Only to end up having to face that he’s so far gone by then that he reads Tyrone’s self-sacrificing acts for his sister as stupidity. Hi Sweater Town.)
And then as the kids grow up R!Tyrone, who’s born with a fragile health and body (easy to bruise, takes him long to heal the smallest of cuts, has a freaking lot of allergies), just gets worse and worse. So by the time he’s twelve he ends up in hospital (again), the doctors tell his parents that he’s basically dying of whatever infection/illness he got this time, and R!Mabel overhears. And then summons freaking Alcor the Dreambender to try to save her brother (which might or might not get overly well).
